They were right! I would definitely stay here again, not just because of the convenience but because of the beautiful building, wonderful breakfast, amazing Innkeepers, and cleanliness of the Inn. They thought it was in overlooking the cemetery outside of town rather than on the major battlefields. Michael and Jennifer looked at it and told us where they thought it was! (there are several statues of horse and riders throughout the Gettysburg Battlefields. They were at a cannon and part of a horse's feet on a monument could be seen in the background. It was a picture of when my husband and his three brothers were young. My husband received a text from his brother the night before we left. Michael and Jennifer are extremely knowledgeable of the area. It is beauty, it is spacious, there is parking in the back. There was also an afternoon treat available when you came back to the B&B in the afternoon. I am not a big breakfast eater but I could not resist. Every morning was a wonderful breakfast prepared by either Michael or Jennifer! They were awesome hosts! The Breakfasts could rival any 5 star restaurant. The porch entrance was spacious and their was also a shared balcony on the second and third floors. The 'true dining room and the parlor that could be converted to a dining room if they were full. The room itself was great for two people. It was the perfect location! The Gaslight in was a beautiful place too. There were wineries in town, great restaurants, places to shop. The Town Center was basically a half block from the Gaslight. I found the Gaslight Inn and it was perfect. My husband and I had stayed at another B&B in Gettysburg and it was great but we always had to drive everywhere. Our three nights at the Gaslight were excellent. Parking in Gettysburg can sometimes be a challenge so being so close to everything was definitely a plus. Stuart and Jack were a wealth of information! The other great thing about this Inn is the location. Complimentary drinks and snacks were always available and delicious! We also appreciated the park guides who came before breakfast two of the days we stayed. Morning breakfast was the best of any of the B&Bs I've stayed at. The Lily Room has a Jacuzzi tub that was terrific for soaking after walking the battlefield all day! It has a handheld shower head as well. The bed was quite comfortable and there was a lot of reading material available. We stayed on the third floor in the Lily room. Our host was gracious and took his time walking us thru all the Inn had to offer. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at home. Our stay at the Gaslight Inn in Gettysburg was fantastic.
